$1,935restitution for two counterfeit-handbag buyers
A Nebraska woman who ran a Facebook shop called Bugaboo Boutique was ordered to pay just $1,935 in restitution to two buyers, against a $12,000 fine paid to the government.
Christine Parry, 62, sold counterfeit Birkenstock, Ray-Ban, Chanel and Louis Vuitton items shipped from China and Taiwan, describing them in her own listings as 'virtually identical to the name brand goods.' She was sentenced to time served in January 2025.
